What’s Your Play? Kings on an Ace River – Thinking Poker
I think it’s somewhat unlikely that you have 2 clubs here, but he gave you a great price on the flop, so you are (from his perspective) probably peeing with AKcc, AJcc, ATcc, KJcc?, JTcc, J9cc, T9cc. I think given the action it makes more sense for you to have the runner-runner flush than ...

r/acesup - Proper Uses of the Blocking Bet

I think the best spots to ''bet tiny'' (better definition of blocker bet imo) is when the opponent has polarised their check back range. Sounds really stupid, but it makes sense vs certain opponents. If a villain only bets turn with a gutshot or better, and they cbet flop and check turn on a total brick, they frequently have air give ups (or they paired the turn undercard, typically).

e.g. K72ss, 5o. cbet, x/x - hands like this might be ~A8cc, QJcc, J9cc, backdoor FDs non improved. 56s maybe, a5s (w/ flush redraw). So give ups or low sdv. So blocker betting river small can be good with our busted draws, air, top pairs, 2nd pairs. Since he has a lot of give ups which are inelastic vs our bet size, we can go tiny with our range.

This is the most appropriate scenario imo to use blocker/tiny bets. I personally don't do this much, I find that people will just call ace high and 3rd pair vs 33% pot, which tilts me. So I think I just go larger size with my range. It depends, maybe I'm selectively remembering the times I got called and lost and forgot all the times I bet tiny and got it through.

For completion: The spots where I don't think it's good is to bet, bet (normal sizes, 50%+) then on a scary card for us, bet smaller then fold loads to raises. I think that line sucks.

r/poker - Craziest/Suspicious? Calls on Bovada

1st hand your line is bad and are complaining about having some guy making horrible calls which are super profitable for you.

2nd hand is the clearest fold pre and you just make a monkey blast off post and complain about the other guy.

Has nothing to do with bots, do you think bots are supposed to make clairvoyant calls or something? First hand looks like a fishy station who doesn’t like to fold and 2nd guy just calls for the monkey blast off which doesn’t seem crazy either.

V2 on the other hand, look at all the double gutters he can have, T9s, 79s, 57s, and 45s are all double gutted, some of which will have flush draws, then JTcc, J9cc 43cc have gutters plus flush draw. There are all leaps and bounds more likely than some 8 or better hand than ours.
